1. MU::IN Residency
This June, Elsewhere hosts MU::IN, a special curated residency with Chicago-based sound artists Troy Briggs, Jon Brumit, Michael Milano, David More, and Jeff Kolar and Meredith Kooi of Radius. Artists will create new installations and performance-based sound works that transform Elsewhere's 100-year old building into an architectural music box. MU::IN is produced in collaboration with Shannon Stratton--an Independent Curator and Executive Director Emeritus of Threewalls--and Joe Jeffers--musician, producer and Director of 8550 Ohio (Chicago and Chesterhill, OH) and is the first in Elsewhere's series of intra-city curated residencies. This project is funded through the support of the North Carolina Arts Council.
