This week, at the Forefront has been participating in the Women and Girls Africa Summit.

We are hosting two panels: "Magnifying the Voices of African Women on the Future of Gender Equality," which was held on November 16, and "Improving Diversity and Creating Inclusive Spaces for African Women in International Development," which will be held today at 1:30pm GMT.
Today's panel features a lineup of phenomenal panelists in what will surely be a lively session on the importance of D&I for African women in international development. You can catch the panel live here.
OUR MODERATOR + PANELISTS

What to do before the panel?

Before the panel, we have compiled some research and articles to read in preparation for our discussion.

First, one of our panelists Angela Bruce-Raeburn wrote an opinion piece for Devex on the race problem in international development—offering her thoughts + solutions for this looming issue. Read it here.

Second, the recently published UNPAD (United Nations People of African Descent) survey sought to uncover issues of racial discrimination and racial bias within the UN system. Read it here.
