Father/Son Tournament is Full

This year's Father/Son Tournament filled faster than ever before. Click here for the list of the teams currently in the field. Note that the father is listed for each son he is playing with -  i.e. if the father is playing with three sons, his name will appear three times.

A wait list has been started. Names have been entered according to the date received if delivered or faxed and the postmark date if mailed. As openings occur, teams will be added to the field randomly by date received. Although we can make no guarantees that teams on the wait list will ultimately be added to the tournament, we normally experience a large number of withdrawals - especially during the two weeks prior to the tournament. Unless you are having to travel here from out of town, you might consider making hotel arrangements now - they can always be cancelled if your team does not make it into the tournament.

Rules Trivia

Q: A player's ball lies through the green (i.e. anywhere on the course other than in a hazard, or on the putting green or teeing ground of the hole being played). The player deems his ball unplayable. In proceeding under the rule, the player drops a ball in a hazard (bunker or water hazard). Is this permissible?

Tournament Season is Upon Us...

Tournament season will officially be upon us beginning in May. We have three great tournaments to get your competitive juices flowing. No matter what your age, May has something for you. We begin with the Senior Stroke Play Championship May 4-5 at Arrowhead Country Club. This is actually a divisional event - three divisions; Masters (45 - 54), Senior (55-64) and Legends (65 and older). Next is the AZ Stroke Play Championship May 14-17 at Aguila GC. Four days of competition with the field size cut to 60+ties after 36 holes. Finally we have the Senior Match Play Championship May 30-June 2 at The Wigwam Arizona (again - this is a divisional championship).....AGA Tournament Listings

Not That Competitive?

For members 55 and older, we have a more relaxed series of one-day partner events?  The very popular Senior Series is underway again this year. This series consists of 10 four-ball (better ball of partners) events. Teams accumulate points for their net finish in each event. The points accumulate individually so you don't have to play with the same partner for the entire series. Top point winners are invited to a season-ending championship at Encanterra Country Club.....See dates and venues

Trivia answer: Yes. The prohibition about staying through the green when taking relief is when a player is receiving free relief for obstructions or abnormal ground conditions. When it is costing him a stroke to move his ball, he may drop it anywhere on the course.
