Hall of Fame Inductions

We are proud to announce this year's inductees into the Arizona Golf Hall of Fame: Christi Dickinson and Dick Hyland.  The induction ceremony will be taking place November 22, 2016 at Paradise Valley Country Club.  Both inductees have made a tremendous impact on the game of golf and to read more about these well-deserving recipients, click here.

In 2016, the Hall of Fame Selector's Committee chose to create the Legacy Award to recognize those in Arizona who have made contributions to golf, but because it occurred many years ago, their impact is not known to the modern voters and their significance goes unnoticed.  Three individuals,  Tom Lambie, Joe Porter, and Marilynn Smith, will each be inducted into the Hall of Fame under this award.

Come out and join us for the Arizona Golf Hall of Fame ceremony to celebrate this year's inductees.  Tickets are $100 per person and limited!  Be sure to get yours before they're all gone.  For more information, contact Liz Durnan at

Rules Trivia
Question: A player's ball is lying on grass-covered ground within a bunker. The player deems the ball unplayable and elects to drop it under Rule 28b (dropping a ball behind the point where the ball lay, keeping that point directly between the hole and the spot on which the ball is dropped, with no limit to how far behind that point the ball may be dropped). Must he drop it in the bunker?

Patriot All-America Volunteers

Volunteers are the back bone of our Patriot All-America event to be held during the week of December 26-31 at The Wigwam in Litchfield Park, Arizona. The event will highlight top collegians from throughout the country while honoring our military heroes. Each player will carry a golf bag donated by PING with the name of a fallen soldier embroidered on the pocket. Volunteers are needed for scoring, registration, airport pickup, am/am registration and more.

The event has been an enormous success in previous years thanks to our volunteers.  Come out to help us make it another great year!

Trivia answer: No. Grass-covered ground within a bunker is not part of the bunker. Accordingly, the player may drop the ball behind the bunker.
