Give a Day & Play
The Arizona Golf Foundation (AGF) & Friends of Freedom Golf Marathon is an incredible fundraising campaign, to raise some serious dollars for the Navy Seal Foundation, Snowball Express, Friends of Freedom and Fighter Country Partnership. You can participate by sponsoring a golfer or by playing 100 holes of golf! No, we are not kidding. One hundred holes are very doable. Many participants in past marathons have been able to play more than 100 holes! In fact, the record for a golf marathon is an amazing 409 holes in one day!
The AGF & Friends of Freedom Golf Marathon will be played on November 24, 2015 at the Moon Walk course at Moon Valley CC. Besides a lot of fun and the satisfaction of helping the AGF and Friends of Freedom in a big way, you will receive breakfast, lunch, continuous refreshments, plenty of golf balls to smack away and the opportunity to earn some great prizes.
For more information on how to sign up or to donate, visit the AGA website or call Ed Gowan or Lorraine Thies at 602-944-3035.
A player who started a round with 13 clubs broke his putter in anger, i.e. other than in the normal course of play, during the first nine holes. He bought another putter in the golf shop after the first nine holes and used it for the remainder of the round. Rule 4-3a(iii) permits replacing a club only if it becomes unfit for play in the normal course of play. Was the player subject to penalty?

NEW FOR 2016! Because of the significant costs associated with tracking and processing multi-member rebates, the AGA and AWGA have adopted a new policy for 2016. Your first membership in the AGA is $35.00 ($30.00 if paid before 12-31). Any additional club memberships will be $15.00 per club. Each club will charge their members for the AGA portion of their dues. The individual will be responsible for requesting his/her partial rebate of those additional memberships beginning in January 2016. Rebates will be distributed in early July. More info...
