LEHS Weekly Informational Letter
November 4, 2019

Dear LEHS Community,
On November 5, 2019, the Logan Elm Board of Education will ask voters to renew two expiring levies. These are not new taxes and will not increase the current taxes levied today or the tax rate. The renewals of existing operating levies are essential in providing the District with operating funds. Continuation of these two levies are vital to fund our instructional and extracurricular programs both now and into the near future. The two levies are not associated with the bond issue passed in November of 2018.

Pickaway County Council on Youth Leadership
Gracieanne Gray recently attended the "Town Meeting on Tomorrow" in St. Louis.  She was recognized at the awards ceremony as being one of the top 12 leaders at the conference.  The "Town Meeting on Tomorrow" is a national conference sponsored by the local chapter of the Council on Youth Leadership.  Our local chapter, PCCYL, sponsors a trip for a representative from each of the 5 schools in Pickaway County and PCCYL is the sole chapter in the state of Ohio.  At this national conference students enter into dialogue with proven adult leaders, broaden their horizons by interacting with youth leaders of diverse backgrounds, enhance leadership skills with seminars by dynamic professionals and national political leaders, and enhance leadership skills with seminars by dynamic professionals and national political leaders.  We are very proud of Gracieanne and we are honored to call her a Brave!

On November 11th we will hold our Veteran’s Day Assembly in the McDowell gym beginning shortly after 8:00 am.  Family members of students who are veterans are encouraged to contact BJ Walker at the high school office to reserve a seat for our program.  Our school choir will perform the Armed Forces Medley and Devin Braun will be giving a short speech.
Athletic Boosters
Our Athletic Boosters provide a great deal of support to our sports teams.  The vast majority of this support comes through Logan Elm Bingo.  Logan Elm Bingo is only able to operate through the work of coaches and parents.  Please contact your head coach to get more information regarding schedules
