Dear <<First Name>>,

We are sending out an extra news email this week with some additional information about our church meetings at Christmas. We hope you will be able to join us to celebrate Christmas as a church family.

Sunday 23rd December 10.30am @ Elim Corner
A family get together to celebrate Christmas.

Tuesday 25th December 10.30am @ Elim Corner
An opportunity to give thanks for the real meaning of Christmas (a short 45 minute service).

Sunday 30th December 10.30am @ Elim Corner
A time of reflection and testimony as we prepare for the New Year.

We would really like to see mentoring well established within the church. Mentoring is a form of discipleship, which aims to unlock the God-given potential within another person. In practical terms this involves spending time with someone on a regular basis, doing an activity of your choice (e.g. going for a drink/playing a sport) and getting to know them. You will support and challenge them to develop their skills, discover their passions and grow in their faith. It is a purposeful relationship which encourages someone to take steps in order to go further with God.
If you would like a mentor or like to be a mentor (or both!) see one of the elders. You can of course approach someone yourself about mentoring, but we ask that you make the eldership aware of any mentoring relationships which are established due to the duty of care which we have as a church to the individuals in our congregation.
