World War II is over, shiksa. If I can let go of my father’s understandable hate, then you can let go of your father’s irrational hate.

Go to the Beriozka store, buy yourself a wig and some feminine things to wear. Customers prefer pretty girls.

Zoya hangs her coat as Shlomo continues to speak. She’s still wearing suspenders, a white shirt, and boots, but also has a black leather jacket underneath her coat.

Zoya
They don’t allow regular people at the Beriozka; only foreigners and big shots.

Shlomo smiles sympathetically.
