ESIP UPDATE: February 16, 2016
Good morning ESIP,
I hope everyone had a great President's Day weekend! Lots to report from the Federation today. First, the Drupal Cluster's inauguralOffice Hours were both a great success and productive work session. They worked through several tasks related to schema.org and have an action to build a library of common HOWTOs in Drupal. The group will hold Office Hours again on Wednesday, February 17 at 3:00 p.m. ET.
The new ESIP Science Communication Cluster had a productive first call on Wednesday. Among the topics covered were short-term cluster goals, such as collaborating with the ESIP Visioneers to create more dynamic meeting sessions, and long-term goals, such how to inspire the ESIP community to participate in science communication efforts. Check out the notes from the call and learn more about the cluster here.
Lastly, in continuing our series of 'hello world' blog posts from our 2016 ESIP Student Fellows, learn a little more about Lindsay 'Bar' Barbieri here! As always, if you have any items you'd like to see included in the next update, contact me at annieburgess@esipfed.org. Have a great week. Cheers, Annie (AB)
