Good morning! Last week's ESIP Visioneer's meeting was a productive kick-off to the Summer Meeting. The theme development is around disaster response. If you have ideas please add to the wiki!

Also, Anne Wilson's effort to kick-off a Data Decadal Survey cluster got started last week. Minutes have been posted

Finally, this week's IT&I call, Thursday, 3 pm EST, will feature John Graybeal on the Ontology Registry Repository (ORR). It is built on bioportal wich our ESIP Semantic Web Testbed is also built on too.

EarthCube Solicitation Call, Friday, Feb. 8, 3pm EST - This webinar will provide a brief introduction to the new NSF EarthCube solicitation ( which is to develop a new, community-driven, data and knowledge management cyberinfrastructure system for the geosciences. It also provides an opportunity for a question and answer session by program leads.

GEOSS Future Products Workshop, This workshop provides a unique opportunity to learn how GEOSS as a platform makes all sorts of sensor and model data available in an interoperable manner. The workshop will take place in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA, from 26-28 March 2013. Draft agenda and registration details are now available at : and

NOAA-Northern Gulf Institute Internship Now Accepting Applications The NOAA-NGI Diversity Internship Program is now seeking interns to participate in the 2013 program. This 10-week summer internship is open to undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in a degree-granting program. There is an emphasis on students from communities and institutions in the Northern Gulf of Mexico region, and the program specifically targets populations underrepresented in the NOAA workforce.
