ESIP Monday Update - October 21, 2013

Good Morning! A few quick updates: 

  1. Call for Winter Meeting Sessions: The ESIP Winter Meeting planning is in full swing. The call for breakout sessions is out: http://commons.esipfed.org/taxonomy/term/1029 Please add your sessions by mid-November. Registration and hotel links will come out next week.  
     
  2. ESIP Student Fellows: One of the ways that we work to get more students and early career folks involved in the Federation is through the Student Fellow Program. Student Fellows work with ESIP collaboration areas that align with their research. We are accepting applications now. Please forward this on to students you might know. Thanks! 
     
  3. Martha Maiden Nominations: 10 days to submit your Martha Maiden nomination packages. Nominations can be submitted electronically. The award will be presented at the January Meeting.

EarthCube Test Enterprise Governance Advisory Committee Nomination
The EarthCube Test Enterprise Governance group is seeking nominations for appointment to the EarthCube Test Enterprise Governance Advisory Committee (AC) to review and help guide the process of managing and setting up a demonstration governance framework for EarthCube over the next two years, as part of NSF-funded project EarthCube Test Enterprise Governance: An Agile Approach, led by Principal Investigator M. The successful applicant will be a member of a small team responsible for a challenging variety of duties related to the development of a software-based solutions that meet science driven requirements. Elsevier Data Rescue Competition!
