80 Degrees in NY - time for some White wine

New York City is experiencing an absolutely perfect spring day - eighty degrees, sunny, the flowers are blooming and the birds are singing. Hopefully, you can get out and experience it while staying socially distant of course. Spring always puts me in the mood for a cool glass of white wine, so if you have a similar desire here is a list of some new arrivals that will scratch that itch!

Murgo Etna Bianco 2019
Shelf Price $14.99
Sale Price $13.97

70% Carricante and 30% Catarratto Bianco fermented and aged in stainless steel to preserve the crisp acidity and juicy freshness a proper Etna Bianco must-have. The high acidity of Carricante is balanced by the weightier texture of Catarratto, yielding a gorgeously pristine and elegant Bianco.

Quinta do Regueiro Alvarinho Reserva Vinho Verde 2018
Shelf Price $17.99
Sale Price $15.97

This is the best Alvarinho we have tasted in a long time.
This mineral aromatic delight bursting with grapefruit, stone fruit, and jasmine notes takes the 100% Alvarinho up a notch. Elegant, with a creamier silkier mouthfeel than expected from this varietal, and with enough persistent acidity to lead through any meal.

Aphros Phaunus Amphora Loureiro Orange Wine 2018
Shelf Price $26.99
Sale Price $22.97

The New York Times just recommended this in their article on Orange wine.
100% Loureiro. Harvested and destemmed manually before spontaneous fermentation with the skins in beeswax-lined clay amphorae. Sur-lie aging on the skins in amphorae for seven months before bottling. Produced without electricity. Demeter-certified biodynamic

Gerard Boulay Sancerre Chavignol 2019
Shelf Price $33.99
Sale Price $29.97

Always highly sought after, always very limited, but it just arrived so stock up!
A clear, pure, well defined, and concentrated example of Sancerre. Stunningly aromatic bouquet that comes along as a lovely mix of partly tropical fruit aromas, blossom, as well as flinty Chavignol flavors. Intense on the palate, and yet still elegant, pretty complex, and perfectly balanced Sancerre with a dry, persistent finish.
