PJ Wine sells a wide range of wines, from all around the world, from inexpensive to expensive, small production to big national brands. We usually feature small production wines on our email promotions but today we thought we should give an old favorite some attention - Clos du Bois Sonoma Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2017. We recently popped a bottle and were impressed by how much this Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon had to offer. Well, it is a Reserve bottling afterall. Large production be damned, this is good!
Although Clos du Bois farms and sources from around 800 acres they are still very sustainable (quite the feat). In fact, since their inception in 1974, Clos du Bois has been a champion of sustainability. They’re especially proud of their solar initiative, which utilizes over 4,000 solar panels to power our winery almost 100%, the equivalent of providing electricity to 164 homes a year. They are also water-conscious too. One acre of their land uses less water per year than a typical family of four.
Their Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich ruby in color, this wine opens with aromas of black cherry, cassis, baking spices, and a hint of toasted oak, followed by flavors of black fruit and blueberry. The wine has bold, structured tannins and is worthy of aging but ready to be enjoyed now.
Also in typical PJ Wine fashion, we are the lowest price in the country!

Deep, inky red in color, this wine offers up seductive scents of cassis, licorice, ripe plum and blackberry intermingled with hints of toasty oak and nutmeg spice. Concentrated fruit envelops the palate, with deep, luscious flavors that echo the nose. It has a rich, full-bodied structure, hints of sweet oak, and a long, pleasing finish. - PJ
