The Wine Spectator has released its Top 100 Wines of 2020 to the delight of wine consumers everywhere. It is an eclectic list consisting of wines from all over the world with a wide range of price points. As usual, many of the wines are not available in the market any longer but we did get our hands on a few of the standouts including today’s featured wine Tormaresca Torcicoda Primitivo 2016.
Tormaresca is Antinori’s project in Puglia. The famous Tuscan estate was enamored with the high-quality grapes being grown in southern Italy but saw there was a need for investment. They went in and built a state of the art winemaking facility, spared no expense, and Tormaresca was born. The Torcicoda is one of the winery’s premier bottlings, and it shows! This is a stunner!

Well-balanced and fresh, this medium-bodied red features a thread of ground spice that underscores flavors of crushed black raspberry, cherry, thyme and red licorice. Light tannins sculpt the clean-cut finish. Drink now through 2025
