School of Music Upcoming Performances: 

Faculty and Guest concert (COSMOS)

The celebrated trio, COSMOS, features Katherine Borst Jones, flute; Mary E.M. Harris, viola; Jeanne Norton, harp; all members of the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra. Formed in 2004, the trio has appeared on performance series and at conventions throughout the country. Their program will feature the iconic Debussy Sonata (1915), Harbord Street (1991) by Milton Barnes, Suite Popular Espanola by Manuel Moreno-Buendía and two pieces that COSMOS originally commissioned and premiered: Trio in Four Movements (2006) by Libby Larsen and A Columbus Triptych (2006) by Stephen Main.  

The performance will be held in Weigel Auditorium, 1866 College Rd., address, on Monday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. For more information visit 

Symphony Orchestra

The Ohio State Symphony Orchestra presents its first concert of the year on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. The performance will be held in Weigel Auditorium, 1866 College Rd. This event is free and open to the public, no ticket required. For more information visit 

Anything Cole’s: A Cole Porter Cabaret & Hearts and Music – A Tribute to William Finn and Jason Robert Brown

Join the School of Music in paying tribute to the genius of these quintessential composer-lyricists from both the Golden Age and the Modern Era in an intimate cabaret setting, with libations available from Ethel’s Stage Left Lounge. Performances to include selections from Kiss Me Kate, Anything Goes, Falsettos, A New Brain, The Last 5 Years and Songs for a New World, among many others.

Anything Cole’s – A Cole Porter Cabaret will be at 7:30 p.m.

Hearts and Music – A Tribute to William Finn and Jason Robert Brown will be at 9 p.m. 

Friday, Sept. 23 and Saturday, Sept. 24 at Garden Theatre, The Green Room, 1187 N. High St.
