Let's Work Together
Great things are in the happening in our neighborhood and the Lake Hefner area

You may not be aware, that the Briarcreek neighborhood association, in tandem with the Lake District Coalition, is hard at work on major projects in our area.  We will keep you informed once these projects become final.  But, there are some really amazing opportunities for us.  Not just maintaining our beautiful neighborhood/community, but enormous steps forward with a rebranding and redevelopment of the Lake District with walking, biking, walkability, et al for the areas around our neighborhood.

What does this mean for you?  It means you will have better options for riding your bike and walking to Lake Hefner with great commercial and dining places at MacArthur and Britton. It means as we improve the area, your home is worth more, but it makes our area even better and THE place to live.

What do we need you to do?  There are homes for sale in our neighborhood - as well as new homes under construction and for sale.  We are want those homes to sell and for a good price to benefit all of our property values.  Prospective buyers are driving through our neighborhood, looking at surrounding  homes. Seeing if this is a good community to buy into.  Please look at your home as a potential buyer.  How is your curb appeal?  If your home was for sell, would you buy it?

Landscape your front, plant flowers and trees. Maintain your home and structures. Simple things make a big difference.

What hurts us?  Trash bins in front of the house (move them behind your side gate or in the garage out of view).  Broken, nonfunctioning, rusting basketball goals in the front yard. Unkept and poorly maintained homes. Shrubs left untrimmed growing up and over windows. All of these things can hurt our property values, attract the wrong neighbors, and attract crime.

So, let's all get to work.  Mow and edge those lawns, landscape, trim your shrubs, plants flowers and trees (the trees will need to wait until fall now that summer's heat is here).  Look at your home's curb appeal.

We'll keep you posted on the work we are doing in the our surrounding areas.  There are great things in the happening!
