You may have read in our last newsletter that Shake and Grow
is now registered in Arizona. The Plant Doctor recieved an email from one of our new Arizona gardeners. She needed some help with her plant (see picture above). and her question was......
Plant Doctor-"My baby palm now has these yellow/brown spots on the leaves which appeared the follow day after applying 4 shakes of granules. Any ideas/ suggestions for the palm ? Is this normal or do you think something else is going on?" Michelle
The Plant Doctor's Response was: "Michelle the yellow brown spots on the leaves are not caused by Shake and Grow.
There is nothing in the product that would cause this to happen. It could be nutritional tips burn. Could the plant be sunburn? Is it in full sun? "
We contacted Shelley the manager in AZ at a cactus nursery we work with. She has been the manager for 20+ years and has lots of experience with the plants and climate in AZ. Below is Shelley’s response. Gail. This is not really a palm, it is a Dracaena, which is a houseplant. my guess is this....it is probably rootbound. It should have a bigger pot with more dirt. Water once a week. All the bad stuff can be trimmed off. And...maybe brought inside for the really hot weather. I hope it helps!
Thank you Shelley for you help! We look forward to visiting with you again soon! Do you have a problem with one of your plants? The Plant Doctor is always happy to help and you can contact him through our website at http://shakeandgrow.com/questions/plant-doctor/
