REPORT BACK FROM EMILY AT THE WAGIN WOOLORAMA
I was part of a team of women’s health physiotherapists from the Continence Foundation of Australia that volunteered at Wagin Woolorama this year to provide pelvic floor education to men and women. Physiotherapists came from Collie, Midland, Fremantle (and me from Albany) and we saw over 250 women over 2 days of the Woolorama (official figures still to be counted).
We had a large display stand and engaged people in exciting conversations about their pelvic floor as well as offering them free ultrasound checks of abdominal ultrasound to ensure they could perform a pelvic floor lift correctly – in our private ultrasound booth.
It was well worth the trip and great to see that so many men and women were happy to talk about their pelvic floor….I am sure you will see CFA at the next Woolorama!
