CRAIG'S JOKE OF THE MONTH
An old lady is waiting to go in to see the doctor. When her name is called she gets unsteadily to her feet, with the aid of walking stick, and one of the other patients notices she is bent almost double. A receptionist helps the old lady into the doctor's room slowly and carefully, and ten minutes later the door opens and the old woman walks out completely upright. 'My goodness!' says the other patient. 'That's amazing! You went in there bent almost double and now you're walking out like a guardsman! What did the doctor give you, some sort of miracle cure?' 'No', says the old lady, 'he gave me a longer walking stick'.
ARTICLE OF THE MONTH
Scoliosis (Part I)
You may have heard your health care professional use the terms 'scoliosis', 'lordosis', 'kyphosis' or other terms to describe spinal posture. But have these terms and their implications ever been explained to you? In this article, I will detail the definition and diagnosis of the condition known as â€˜Scoliosis’. Next month, I will discuss treatment options and home exercise programs for the management of scoliosis.
