Made in Canada

At OCM Manufacturing, we offer our customers the opportunity to proudly state that their products are made in Canada. A number of factors are causing more and more local OEMs to want to display a “made in Canada” sticker on their innovations, including:
  • National pride in our innovation and ability to offer high-quality product
  • A desire by the Canadian business community to boost our own economy
  • Concerns about the security of intellectual property
  • While there are still opportunities for cost savings off-shore, these are less dramatic than in the past
  • Alignment with the United States, where “made in the U.S.A.” is a hot political topic
When we reflect on what unites our customer and product base, we always return to one theme: diversity. Diversity is part-in-parcel with being a manufacturer in the low- to mid-volume, high-mix space – but it is also, I think, a reflection of Canadian innovation.

Canadians excel at idea generation and solution-finding – we’re known around for that. Truly, every one of our customers is different, with unique requirements, product designs, target markets, and sales channels.

In true Canadian form, we have always been responsive and found creative ways to meet a diverse array of requirements. From design to localized support, board and box assembly, blended offshore-onshore models, and supply chain management, we are confident that we can fulfill “made in Canada” needs.

Please talk to us about your product design – we can likely tailor a model to suit your manufacturing and fulfillment needs. Right here in Canada!

Shepherds of Good Hope

Each year, OCM supports the Shepherd's of Good Hope in two ways:

Financial donation of a percentage of profits to the organization.

Gathering a team of ~20 volunteers to prepare and serve a lunch in December.

Our group this year included new and returning volunteers and, as always, was a positive and empowering experience. Please consider how you might help the Shepherds.

Case Study: Industrial Control Engineering Offload

A manufacturer of power synchronization products for industrial markets had an opportunity to round out an existing product family with new features requested by a particular customer segment. By offloading the engineering of the new product to us, our client created a new revenue stream without additional overhead.
