Stewardship is a Way of Life Workshop
Everyone is invited to attend a special Stewardship Workshop being held on November 13 and 14 at Westworth United Church (1750 Grosvenor Ave., Winnipeg).
- Learn to tell your story through narrative budgets
- Adopt stewardship in worship, learning and serving
- Complete the circle of stewardship with thanksgiving
Sessions will include: Church Treasurer 101; Year-Round Stewardship; The Narrative Budget; Giving as a Spiritual Practice.
The registration fee starts low and gets lower as your team gets larger! So, bring a crowd!

Canadian Faith Leaders Call for Climate Justice
Moderator Jordan Cantwell, along with 25 other Canadian faith leaders, has endorsed the statement On Promoting Climate Justice and Ending Poverty in Canada, available on the Canadian Council of Churches’ website. This statement represents a meeting of the minds and hearts of many diverse faith organizations, including the World Buddhist Council, World Sikh Organization of Canada, and a broad range of Christian denominations. Intercultural Worship Program
November 20-21, 2015
What does it mean to live out God’s call to be “beloved community”? How do the practices of becoming an intercultural church provide models for what it means to be a vibrant community of faith?
Intercultural worship is one way that we attempt to faithfully live into God’s call for being beloved community. Join us for a life-giving program that will involve worshipping and learning together. Leadership includes Adele Halliday and Alydia Smith (United Church General Council Office), Robin McGauley (Program Director at Five Oaks), and a team of worship leaders including Sarah Grady, Adam Kilner, Sue Howard, SungMin Jung, and Janice Asiimwe.
This onsite program will take place November 20-21 at the Five Oaks Centre in Paris, ON. Cost is $160, or $100 for a youth in grades 9-12 that is accompanied by an adult.

Everyone is invited to attend a workshop entitled: “I’m not for sale: a workshop where Christian communities come together to raise a voice for the voiceless victims of Human Trafficking”.
