Michel de Montaigne, a writer who was interested in how we can learn to live well, wrote: “I want death to find me planting my cabbages, and not worrying about it nor the unfinished gardening.”

What he meant was – if you want to live well, then there is really no alternative than to just get on with living – and at the same time learn not to take life too seriously.

It is good advice. Difficult. But very good.
