Dear <<First Name>>,

Wow, summer has definitely come to Britain this year!  (Yes, for all you Americans, sometimes we don’t actually get a “summer.”) The past month has been full of sunshine, which has meant the children are spending lots of time outside and are getting nicely tanned.  Their days have been filled with water fights with the neighbour kids, fun in the paddling pool, playing sports and riding scooters.  Kaylah has been learning to ride her little bike in front of the house.  We often hear, “Kaylah do it herself!” coming from her mouth.   The children and I have made a list of fun (and free!) outings we can do this summer. We’ll see how far we get!

We finished up homeschooling a couple of weeks ago although the children all have a bit of schoolwork to finish over the summer just to keep their minds active!  We will also continue with reading aloud as a family, which is something we love to do.  Peter is currently reading one of the Narnia books to the older girls and I just finished a WW2 story with Mariah and Joel.  We hope to read through Little Pilgrim’s Progress this altogether soon, which we so enjoyed about 3 years ago.  Time to read it again!

The full time Cor Deo season came to a finish two weeks ago also and we thank God for another great year with some fantastic guys who really love Him.  Peter’s schedule is now technically more “free” but we don’t foresee too much downtime ahead!  He is currently busy with some writing projects and of course with things at Trinity Chippenham, our new church.  Cor Deo also has some summer intensive courses coming up.

God continues to keep our hearts and hands busy for Him.  Here are some of the things that we will be spending our time on this summer.  We would very much appreciate your prayer for us as we prepare for these ministry opportunities and for God to bring much fruit from them (i.e. hearts changed!).

Thank you so much for your love, support and prayers for us.  We could not do what we do without you!

Peter & Melanie
