Dear <<First Name>>,
On Sunday the children enjoyed their first water fight of the year! The recent sunny days have been so refreshing. The first part of the Mead calendar is always full of birthdays (four in four weeks starting on 1st of February - click here for birthday photos). It was a fun season, followed by a special celebration last week for Peter's parents' Golden Anniversary.
As a family, we are very excited about our road trip to France and Spain in a few weeks. We start at the Normandy beaches and end up in the Spanish Pyrenees where we'll meet Melanie's parents for some R&R. We've been saving for this and planning for a long time now! Please pray with us for a safe, refreshing and memory making time.
The year has started well at Trinity Chippenham. We enjoyed a baptism at the end of January (Mariah and another girl in the church - click here for photos). We have just finished a series in Daniel 1-7 which has been very well received. If you want to hear any of the messages, they are on the church website (click here). We really love being part of this church family and are excited to see the church progressing. Of course there are always challenges too which keep us on our knees. Apart from Him, we can do nothing! This month the church will begin to support Andy Cordle as a part-time pastoral worker. Andy is one of Peter's fellow elders and a Cor Deo graduate. We are so thankful for the Cordles and the other wonderful people we are privileged to work alongside at TC.
Cor Deo ran its second women's programme in February, followed by a very full Intensive week in March - we thank God for each man and woman whose heart was stirred and warmed by these events. This week Peter and his colleague Mike are in Ireland running a two-day mini-Intensive for the OM Ireland team - prayer appreciated for these two days to make a real difference for all who participate.
Peter's teaching responsibilities are finished for the school year at Union School of Theology, although he will be producing some more video lectures during the summer as he did last year. In a few weeks' time it will be time for the European Leadership Forum again in Wisla, Poland. Peter will be focusing on the Advanced Bible Teachers Network there, while his colleague, Huw Williams (pastor in Turin and CD graduate from 2011) focuses on the Foundational Network. We are thankful for Peter's continuing opportunities to minister through Union and ELF.
Peter's latest book, Lost in Wonder, is now available in both the USA and the UK. A few weeks ago he was interviewed about the book by Janet Parshall on Moody Radio (click here for the link). This month another set of undated devotions authored by Peter will be released in the UK - this time on John's Letters.
With our love and thanks,
Thank you so much for praying for us. We are so aware of our need of God's strength as we pour out our lives in ministry in the family, in the church, in the classroom and so on. Please pray for health, especially for Melanie who continues to struggle with migraines and has an ongoing neck problem. Please pray for wisdom as we parent children from 16 down to 16+ months. Please pray for the church and the other ministries we are involved in. Most of all please pray for us to walk closely with God and to find our strength in him.
