Dear <<First Name>>,
Happy New Year from the Meads! We are thanking God for walking with us throughout 2014 and we are excited to anticipate all He will do in 2015.
Our church family has just celebrated one year of meeting as Trinity Chippenham. We look back with so much thanks and praise to God for all He has done in this launch season and the work He has done in many hearts. Please pray for God’s amazing love to continue to shape and transform us this year and for the church to grow in depth and numbers. We had many visitors join us for our Christmas carol service. Please pray that many of them will come back and find Jesus for themselves. Pray for friends we have that don’t know Jesus personally yet, that they would trust Him soon and that we would have creativity and passion in reaching out to our community with the good news.
Peter had a special few days in December in Rome with a group of European leaders that he has been mentoring from a distance since the summer. Please keep praying for him as he prepares his teaching notes for this year’s European Leadership Forum (takes place in May) and as he continues to mentor and teach through webinars.
Peter was able to share with students (mix of Christian and non-Christian) at several University Christian Unions in the past few months. He’ll no doubt have more of these strategic opportunities in 2015. Pray for hearts to be changed!
The first week-long session of Cor Deo Plus was held in November – exciting . . . and we anticipate more great sessions to come! There will be one held on January 30th and 31st on the subjects of Philemon and world missions. Last week we had our first intensive week of teaching and this week marks the start of the full-time 2015 course (the fifth year of Cor Deo!) Peter and his Cor Deo colleague, Dave will travel to Turin, Italy in February to do some Cor Deo training and Peter will preach in the church there. Please would you pray for all these times of teaching and training to be fruitful? Without our Father at work in hearts, our efforts are wasted.
We also thank God for the positive reports we hear from many people about how Peter’s book, Pleased to Dwell, has impacted them. His next book, a little devotional on the book of Galatians, will be released on March 1st. Please pray for God to use these books to draw people to our awesome Saviour.
On the family front, the last few months have been filled with visitors. We’ve had many precious times with family and friends. (See our latest post on our website). On the last day of 2014, our friend Olivia arrived from Chicago. She will be staying with us for two months to get an experience of England and also help our family. Pray that we will be a blessing to her and she to us!
The children are growing and developing all the time and our house is always busy with neighbour kids, musical instruments being practiced, cooking, and rollerblading going on too. Pray for us as we have started back into homeschooling: that we will all learn and grow together both academically and in our character and love for the Lord.
Thank you for standing with us in all we are doing - ministry is definitely a team sport!
