Celebrating FareShare East Anglia launch
We kicked off the year on Tuesday 16 January with FareShare East Anglia's official opening in Ipswich. The aim of our 21st Regional Centre will be to supply over 1,500 charities throughout Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex with local surplus food.

The event was celebrated by local food partners and members, councillors, the Lord Mayor of Ipswich and our special funders Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

The FareShare East Anglia Regional Centre was made possible through a £500,000 donation by the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation as part of its ‘Fill Your Tank’ programme to mark its 60th anniversary.

Daily Telegraph Christmas Appeal
We were delighted to have been selected as one of 2017’s three charity recipients of The Daily Telegraph’s Christmas Charity Appeal.

This amazing opportunity to raise our charity's profile in the pages of a national newspaper has already raised an incredible amount of money over the festive season.

As the appeal performed well, it was extended until the end of January, which represents a great chance to raise awareness on our work and how what we do benefits our incredible charity partners.

So seize the chance to read FareShare stories in the Telegraph and please spread the word to continue donations until 31 January.

In January, cheer - it's time to volunteer
This month, we are celebrating our brilliant volunteers.
As the New Year is synonymous with New Year's Resolutions, January represents a great opportunity to start 2018 on the right foot. If you are looking to combine both doing something good and getting fit after the festive period, look no further. How about volunteering with us?
Volunteers are our lifeblood and without them, we wouldn't be able to tackle as much food waste as we do. Not to mention redistributing this great surplus to the half a million vulnerable people we support every week. Our amazing volunteer Margaret explained her reasons for volunteering with us as we celebrated her five year volunteering anniversary last week.

This outstanding retiree is one of our hard working volunteers who has continuously been helping FareShare London getting quality surplus food out to charities since 2013. Find out what keeps her volunteering over the years and see how you can sign up as a volunteer at the same time.

Food shopping has never felt so good
Find out more about our brand partnerships with the food industry.
In the run up to Christmas and throughout the whole year, FareShare worked on numerous exciting partnerships across some of the UK's biggest and well-known brands.

2017 was filled with powerful on-pack promotions, including partnerships with McVitie's biscuits, Tesco turkeys, Coca-Cola or Fairy Liquid. Donations are still coming in and we can't help but be excited by the huge numbers of meals we will be able to redistribute thanks to our successful brand partnerships.

Do you have any brand suggestions for our future promotions? If you do, we want to hear from you!
