Exciting new partnership with Asda and The Trussell Trust - just announced!
Hello,

FareShare is thrilled to announce a major partnership with Asda and The Trussell Trust’s network of foodbanks in a transformational three year programme.

‘Fight Hunger Create Change’ represents a unique investment in FareShare’s infrastructure, to enable us to deliver a fresh food proposition to 400 Trussell Trust foodbanks, which in turn will bring about an enormous increase in scale and reach of surplus food redistribution across the UK.

Asda’s investment will enable FareShare to grow in capacity to meet the increasing demand from charities for surplus food nationwide. It will help an additional 300,000 vulnerable people per year by the end of the programme, on top of the existing 500,000 beneficiaries that we currently support.

A spotlight on our work fighting waste across the UK.
Raw London wins the 2018 Creative Shootout
Specialist brand content agency Raw London were crowned Creative Shootout champions of 2018 on Thursday 25 January. The team saw off stiff competition from eight other exceptional agencies, all vying for the chance to work with us on an exciting new national volunteer recruitment campaign.

The Creative Shootout is an annual ‘live’ creativity award, involving the best creative agencies in the UK – and a real, pressing brief from a chosen charity each year. This year’s brief was to create a marketing campaign with FareShare, to increase the number of people volunteering each week from 700 to 2,000.

January 2018 is FareShare's biggest month ever
We are proud to share that January 2018 is FareShare's biggest month on record, with the highest amount of surplus food received from the food industry into our network of 21 Regional Centres across the UK.

We have seen an incredible 47% increase in the volume of food donated to FareShare this January, compared to the same time the year before.

That’s 1,120 tonnes of perfectly good food that would otherwise go to waste being diverted to FareShare last month alone.
Enough food for 2.6 million meals for people in need.

A FareShare engagement
Just one week before Valentine's Day, we got some fantastic news from two FareShare love birds.

Our FareShare South West regional centre witnessed love blossom in our Bristol warehouse and it's now official, there's a FareShare engagement. All our congratulations to volunteers Dee and Barry who just got engaged!

If you are looking for love, you might just find it by volunteering with us! So check out where your nearest regional centre is, sign up as a volunteer and get chatting.
