Last chance to volunteer at our Food Collection

Hello,

It's not long now until we launch our big Christmas Food Collection! We will be in Tesco stores across the UK, collecting donations from customers Thursday 30 November, Friday 1 December and Saturday 2 December.

There’s still time to sign up to help collect donations of long-life food, so make sure you sign up for a 3-hour shift at a store near you.

In just one shift, you could collect enough food to provide 600 meals for vulnerable people. The more volunteers, the merrier, so make sure to bring colleagues, friends and family along with you so when signing up! Deadline to sign up to volunteer is Tuesday 28 November.

If you can’t make it to volunteer, do try and drop a donation into the collection box if passing by a Tesco over the Christmas Food Collection. #EveryCanHelps

Food of the Month
Small grape offcuts are as delicious as larger bunches.
Save the Grapes
We’ve kicked off a project with Morrisons’ Cutler Heights fruit packing house in Bradford, to re-direct surplus grapes to feed people in need.

Sometimes when grapes are packed, larger bunches may need to be slightly trimmed.
Now, thanks to the collaboration between Morrisons and FareShare, these small offcuts will now be redistributed to FareShare’s network of over 6,700 frontline charities and community groups.

Daily Telegraph Christmas Appeal
We’re delighted to have been selected as one of this year’s three charity recipients of The Daily Telegraph’s 2017 Christmas Charity Appeal.

Not only will this raise money over the festive season - it’s an amazing opportunity to raise our charity's profile in the pages of a national newspaper.
So keep your eyes peeled and look out for more FareShare stories in the Telegraph!

FareShare Featured in Tesco's Christmas Ad
If you have been watching TV, you might have had the opportunity to see one of the ‘Everyone’s Welcome’ Tesco Christmas adverts.

The second of five ads was filmed using one of our charity members, called Helping Hands based in Liverpool, with the theme of ‘An Extended Family Christmas’.
The aim of the ad was to highlight how Tesco customers can give people in need a little extra help during the festive period by buying a turkey in store and donating food to our Christmas Food Collection. Find out more about the promotion below!
