This week let's think about the decisions we make...
June 11, 2012
The decisions we've made in our past directly affect our outlook on the world. What we often forget is that our outlook on the world is just that, our own.
While our intentions may be noble, advising someone else to make a decision in their life based off a decision you made in your past may not always be the right thing to do. We are all living different lives; what works for the goose does not always work for the gander.
Allow people to make their own decisions and mistakes. If a friend asks you for advice instead of explaining what you would do in a given situation, ask your friend what they value most in their life and encourage them to make a decision that is in line with those values.
