Winter 2019/2020     News from Social Impact

2019 Year in Review

See the full list of what's featured in the Year in Review video here.
Happy New Year! 2019 was jam packed with lots of great collaborations and important stories to tell. It was also the last year in a 3-year plan to change the way we work to make an impact.

As we move into 2020, we'll be focusing most of our energy on our Public Image Works method to help dedicated people succeed on a larger scale. The method is broader than our signature design work. It brings together best practices and tools for creative action planning, identity, promotion and audience engagement. It also provides a framework and practical roadmap for keeping everything together and moving forward. Communications planning made so much easier and more effective. (Learn more below)

This shift gives us more time for design collaborations because they will no longer be our primary resource generator. We'll be able to explore more ways to engage through story, visuals and experiences without limiting time or sacrificing creativity.

And we'll also free up more time for our own creative projects like Posters for the People. In an election year (and especially THIS election year), we especially like to call attention to that moment in time when art & design inspired a public consciousness about positive social change. Read more below about our exciting first West Coast exhibit at MutMuz Gallery opening the end of January!

Read on for more in depth stories about featured projects from 2019 and what's coming up next!

Helping Good People Promote Their Great Work!

This year we're streamlining the way we help people get their story told. Public Image Works is an empowered method that we use for all of our work - and we make its tools and practices available through newly packaged programs.

You may have noticed the return of DfSI in our e-mail address and on our website. As we near our 25th Anniversary, we are bringing together all of our programs under that idea again. Take a peek at the Design for Social Impact page on our website to see how it all works.
