Viva Voce

January 2016     News from Social Impact Studios

Happy New Year!

2016 is shaping up to be an exciting year already. From a full spectrum of collaborative projects that promote important social issues, to a milestone anniversary for WPA posters, to an election season that should be about our most critical challenges . . . the opportunities to make an more positive impact seem limitless. Even more momentous for us, though, is what lies at the heart of this year - our own 20th anniversary.
This year, we’ll be looking back and celebrating the people, work and issues from the past 20 years. But Social Impact 2.0 is more about looking ahead. We’ll be building on our social roots by highlighting the collaborative magic that happens behind the scenes. For an insider’s look, check out socialimpactstudios on Instagram and tune into Throwback Thursday (#TBT) on our Facebook Page every week for virtual good times. We’ll also be moving beyond the digital by reviving the get-together in our new weekly open house – the “chit chat club.” Stop by for a drink, snacks, short films and conversation (see below and on FB for upcoming subjects). And we'll keep digging into our mission to promote important social issues and see what that really means in these fast-paced 21st century times. We invite you to help us explore and refine how creative, active work can make a difference.
So, let’s kick things off with the year’s first issue of Viva Voce! The stories below are a mix of our latest work, what’s on the horizon and some memories from the way-way-back machine. We’re looking forward to keeping you updated and even more to you being part of the what’s next!
