There's more lined up for November, see for details. Come and learn to be a Viking fiber artist with me at the Seattle Nordic Center!
I'm always happy to do private lessons or a workshop tailored to your group. Perhaps you'd like the Spindle Roadshow, my newest intermediate spindle class designed around participants' questions and also covering spindle/fiber pairing, plying on spindles, and spindle long draw.
At the farm tour I invited folks to be on my indigo seed email list, to get notified when Japanese indigo seeds or starts are available for purchase. Seeds will be ready in November/December, and starts will be ready starting in March or April, depending on spring weather. We are also busy planning a full rainbow of offered plants and seeds. My plans for the demo garden include:
* Hopi Amaranth and Black Hollyhocks for red
* Gaillardia (blanket flowers) for orange
* Golden Marguerite for yellow
* ... Still picking what to put in the green spot, since the leaves of several already give me greens
* Japanese Indigo for blue
* Hopi Sunflower for purple
And we should have localized, tested seeds for more dye plants as I test the crop from this year.
You can keep up with my calendar by adding it to your own Google calendar: click on the button "+ Google Calendar" on the right-hand corner of the calendar:
Or by "Like"ing Ask The Bellwether on Facebook -- I also enter my classes there.
Or, just wait for the next email -- I'll send a notice toward the middle of November with the December make-shops.
If you have any questions about the classes, just let me know. I'm always happy to provide more details.
Now, if MailChimp's doing its thing, you'll see how to unsubscribe below. Otherwise, just hit reply and I'll make sure to remove you from the list if that's your request.
You can also forward this email to a friend, if you'd like to let them know about the upcoming workshops, too!
Happy fall,
Amelia. -- Fiber and Twist make yarn!
