It's been a whirlwind summer, there is much to share. Bazaar Girls, a Port Townsend yarn store extraordinaire, is hosting my learn to spin, learn to spindle, and learn Nalbinding classes. See http://www.bazaargirls.com/

September 14 & 15 is a huge weekend -- it's the Jefferson County Farm Tour! Saturday is Fiber Farms, and Sunday is all farms. On Saturday I will have a handgrown indigo dye pot going with dollar dips -- bring a skein of yarn to dip, white or light colored. I know I have some "uglies" waiting to be blued. On Sunday I will be doing natural impressions, imprinting leaves on bandannas.

There will be lovely vendors at The Bellwether: Lost Mountain Pygoras, J Wyatt Art Painted Floorcloths, Renne Brock-Richmond's hand-dyed Fiber Arts, and Natalie's Spindles.

If you'd like to come and spin a while, do bring your wheel. We will have spinning in the garden. The full tour map is available at http://county.wsu.edu/jefferson/agriculture/Pages/FarmTour.aspx

See you on the tour!

Next up is Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival, in Canby, Oregon, where I am teaching Spinning a lends, Power Spinning, Learn to Spin, and I Wanna Spindle. That's September 27-29, see www.flockandfiberfstival.com

Have you seen Ply Magazine yet? It's a terrific new resource for spinners. I got my favorite saying in the first issue, "There are no spinning police". I have even more to say in upcoming issues! See www.plymagazine.com

Spin on!
