UPDATE: Calacachi Church After the Storm
Calacachi Update
As you know our return trip to Bolivia in the spring of this year was cancelled for a list of reasons.  On that list was the raging storms and flooding that struck Calacachi, the village of our most recent village church plant.  A storm that struck during the time we would have been there destroyed the roof of the village building where church was held.  One woman who was in the building when lightning struck the metal roof couldn’t hear for several days, but Pastor Juan reports that she has received her healing and is doing well.  Leonacio, one of the village leaders, lost his two cows, valued at $600 each (American money).  This is a huge financial setback for him.  But the church is continuing to meet, although they are currently meeting outside and winter is fast approaching.   Rhonda and I are anxious to move back to Bolivia and see our people and bring encouragement in the Lord from all of our partners.  Thank you for your prayers and please seek the Lord for a new building where the people can escape the harsh elements.
Moving Back to Bolivia
We are setting our return date to Bolivia at our next board meeting.  Although, we are short of our goal by more than $20,000 we are walking by faith and returning to live there for as long as the Lord will let us.  We will return to visit our family and our partners as the finances will allow.  Without a doubt the hardest thing about being on the mission field is being away from those we love.  We ask for your prayers and if you are asking the Lord about becoming a regular partner to help us with the work, please send us a card or letter and let us know.  Thanks and we are praying for you.
