December Fishing Getaways Club Trip Report

Every year we put together a pre-Christmas Fishing Getaways Fishing Club trip on our vessel out of Mornington. This always promises to be great fun and an enjoyable get together for our club members and clients before the Christmas season takes over. This year we saw a gathering of 14 people on this trip which departed at 7am on Sunday 4th December - and for the first time in many years Jay was on time for our departure!! We did miss Gordon this year who has been unwell but he was well and truly represented by his daughter Megan who never misses a fishing trip if she can help it. Unfortunately we weren't blessed with the greatest of weather conditions or fishing conditions either with our catch for the day totalling only 1 Whiting, a few small Pinkies, a Banjo Shark and a rock!

We did still present the catch of the day prize which went to the father of our prize winner who came aboard with 3 women and knew he was doomed from the start - after all, is it not always women and children who outfish the men??? After one daughter catching a rock and not much else on that side of the boat, he managed to pull in a decent sized Wrass (the biggest fish caught for the day) to show them all up!

Carrum Snapper Trip

On Sunday 22nd January 2012 we will be heading out from Carrum to chase Snapper with a skipper who is somewhat of a local legend. The trip departs at 0600 and returns at 1200 at a cost of $150 per person. We have 5 spots on a trip that takes 6 so enquire now.

Westernport Whiting Charter

The Westernport Whiting Charter proved to be so popular in 2011 that we already have the morning trip filled! The afternoon charter departs on Sunday 12th February at 12:30pm and is 6 hours at a cost of $100 per person. We have 4 places left on this trip enquire now

 Cooktown Barra & Bluewater

We have a 6 day trip planned to Cooktown for 2012 which will be the second annual Fishing Getaways trip to this undiscovered location. The trip departs on 7th March and returns on 12th March 2012. There is only room for 3 very keen anglers on this trip (with non-fishing parties welcome to join) Enquire now for costs and itinerary
