Samoa Report
Located just 5 hours flying from Australia, Samoa is a fishing paradise that has been kept quiet from Australian fisherman for too long. Having just recently returned from an exploratory trip to this Pacific Paradise I have not come back more excited from many other trips, The boats, easy access of fishing grounds and of course the fish numbers and varieties have me eager to return as soon as possible. Samoa has two main islands, Upolu and Savaii, and both have great accommodation and access to different game and sportsfishing options,. The people are super friendly and are so keen to ensure you enjoy your Samoan holiday.
From our trip we have put together a number of packages for the angler:-
-
Apia Based Package which includes staying Aggie Grey’s Hotel and Bungalows for 5 nights and heading out fishing each day from Apia harbour for four days. Including airfares ex Melbourne and transfers the cost is $2950 per person based on four anglers
-
Based in the north west corner of Savaii and fishing each day in these waters that see two currents collide creating a fish heaven not to mention the many reef and drop offs that have sailfish, giant trevelly to add to the marlin and yellowfin available to target. This package can be set up for two people and ex Melbourne costs only $2750 including airfares, transfers, 5 nights’ accommodation and 4 days fishing.
-
Live on Board charter for up to 4 anglers departing from Apia and fishing some unbelievable waters. This package includes 4 days live on board charter, 2 nights accommodation in Apia, transfers and airfare ex Melbourne for $3350
Besides our packages we can also organise day charters to be added onto your holiday package in this beautiful land. These are basically on Upolu but we can also arrange trips out of Savaii. These can be half or full day and these start at $750 for half days and $950 for full days. Not only providing great fishing potential and options Samoa provides very well priced options to chase some truly amazing game fish and sports fish be it trolling lures or throwing poppers.
A must for anglers, from novice to professional, to include in their destination listing!
