Update 2013#6

Ashes Diary Launched!

After all the controversy, the 2013 Ashes series is over - and we get to take a breather until the return series starts in November.

There will be many books written about the series, but the first and the funniest is

Ashes Diary - Summer of the 17th Man - England 2013

and it's already available at amazon (Australian Readers / UK Readers).  There's nearly 100 diary entries and a stack of humorous illustrations by our resident cartoonist, Jock Macneish.

The paperback will be out in a few weeks, but if ebooks are your style - it looks great on the kindle app for iPad - get into it straight away.

Writing for medium.com

I've recently signed up as a writer at medium.com.  It's a fantastic on-line magazine-style collection of essays, articles and short fiction.  Check out my contributions here, and why not hit the "recommend" button while you're there and have a wander around the site?

Announcing Live:Fiction

This is the name I'm giving to a series of longer short stores based on topical events.  The first in the series, about drugs in sport, is called "Performance Anxiety" and is currenlty being edited - so it will be available soon. Read all about Live:Fiction here.

Writing more for Live:Fiction is what I'll be trying to do for the remainder of the year.  There'll be more stories, collaborations and a podcast.

What you can do

It boils down to "Tell your friends" - about the books and the blog.  Why not forward this email on to a cricket-loving friend of yours?

All the best for the remainder of the year!

Regards

Dave
