Advanced Smash Repairs Launched

It's taken nine months longer than planned, but the Advanced Smash Repairs series is finally complete!

Advanced Smash Repairs is a quirky six-part series about a smash repair business that knows too much.  Craig runs a small workshop, and with the help of his staff – lead mechanic Pavel, apprentice Clint, enigmatic test driver Boris and mysterious newcomer Isobel – he fixes cars in unconventional ways, solving a few mysteries along the way.

Each odfthe six "episodes" is a stand alone story of about 12,000 words. Just like a TV series, there are common characters and themes that also work their way through the whole series. This approach to writing and publishing fiction has been championed by Sean Platt and David Wright with the popular Yesterday's Gone  post-apocalyptic horror series and five other series (yes five) that they are working on.  Between them they release an episode of something every week. They must be doing something right - Yesterday's Gone Series 1 has 497 reviews!

To celebrate the release, episode 1 - "Spillage" - is free at amazon this week until Friday.  The series compendium - "Advanced Smash Repairs Six Pack" - is on sale  now, but for those who want to go with a weekly reading experience, they can follow Spillage with each episode as a stand alone ebook -  Impact, Scratch (21/5), Hammer (28/5), Shatter (4/6) and Burn (11/6).

Second Book NOW In Print

Now for sale at amazon.com - From Dust to Dust is $9.99 plus p+p. Possibly the only book that will be published about the Australian Cricket Team's Tour in India in 2013.  Certainly the only one currently available.

More Cricket?

Oh, yeah! Lots of planning underway to get ready for what will be 100 consecutive days of writing for 17thManDiary.com, starting in mid-June.

And don't forget the podcast, which will be back to close to daily doses of wit and wisdom from The 17th Man as The Ashes gets underway.

What you can do

In a recent article at The Huffington Post, Dorie Clark suggested 10 things you can do to support your favourite author. Have a read, pick one and go for it!!

What's Next?

Things are progressing well with a couple of projects
  • Writing for The Diary of the 17th Man - we'll be releasing a little ebook of "applications" for the Ashes Squad - a great little teaser to launch the English summer.
  • The first short story in a new series called "Red Tablet Stories" is under development.

Regular blogging at www.davecornford.com has slowed down a bit due to demands of The 17th Man - but more is on the way.
