Diploma for Navajo Code Talker

As part of universitywide Veterans Day activities, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will honor the last surviving original World War II Navajo Code Talker for his service by presenting him with a diploma 60 years after he last took classes.

Endowment building LEED-certified

KU Endowment’s office building in Kansas City, Kan., has earned Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification. The 30,000-square-foot building at 4125 Rainbow Blvd. opened in spring 2011.

Street photographer, alum to visit KU

Internationally renowned street photographer and KU alumnus Gary Mark Smith will speak Nov. 15 at the Oread Hotel about his career shooting photos of the poetry of everyday life in nearly 70 countries.

Executive vice chancellor search

The first of three town hall sessions with finalists in KUMC's executive vice chancellor search will be at noon today in the G013 School of Nursing Auditorium. The first candidate is Dr. Norman Beauchamp with the University of Washington, Seattle.
