Reuse this humble home product for storing patterns

It probably goes without saying that we have a lot of patterns floating around our studio.

If you trace your patterns, draft patterns, or download patterns, you might be in the same boat.

I used to roll them up, tie with a ribbon or scrap, and tag them with a hanging label. But I found this to be a bit time consuming and I was always misplacing those labels.

Here's a new trick I came up with: save your empty toilet paper rolls. Slash them down the length and use them as cuffs to hold together rolled up patterns. You can write labels directly on them, like the pattern name, number, and size.
There's still time to plan a knitcation! Make a mini travel wardrobe and enter it in our knitcation contest for the chance to win a giant gift box of knit fabrics, tools, and other sewing treats!
