Term 2: Autumn 2019

Classes resume on Wednesday 1 May

Term 2 marks the last session of Kids Karate classes we will be running at Sydney Moo Duk Kwan for the foreseeable future. While Kehoe SBN and I do everything we can to ensure we provide a dependable training schedule, recent changes with my work have meant I’ve been unable to get away early enough to run the kids classes. To the parents of students in the kids class, if you have not received an email from me please let me know. From Term 3 onward we will only have the adult class. This will likely mean some additional changes further down the track, but for now we continue as we have been.

This Term we will be focusing on the Pyung Ahn Hyung and the more advanced kicks. The groundwork we’ve done on the foundation kicks (front, side, round-house, etc) last Term will be expanded into the more advanced kicks such as peet cha gi, the hook kicks and the spinning kicks. Stability and balance will be key, so expect lots of leg strengthening and conditioning drills.

See you at training,
Kim Wyles

No classes: 10 to 17 June

There will be no classes from the 10th to 17th June as I will be taking advantage of the Queen's Birthday long weekend and heading to Darwin for some training in the tropics. Classes will resume as normal on Wednesday 19 June.

Australian National Camp 2019: Berry NSW

The Australian National Camp is being held in Berry, NSW from 3 - 6 October 2019. This is the first national camp we have held in several years, and will be a great opportunity for Australian Federation members to come together for a weekend of training (and socialising). Details of the event can be found here, or speak to Master Wyles in class.
