Welcome everyone to the Year of the Goat, and a special welcome to all our new students.
With the end of Term 1 only a few weeks away, the Kids Karate Class is about to begin Shim Sa (grading) preparations. Kids Karate students who attend regular classes are invited to take part in the Shim Sa; a presentation of everything they have learned over the course of the Term. We strongly encourage all family and friends to come along to watch and offer support.
The Shim Sa for Term 1 is Monday 30th March at 5.30pm (regular class time).
True or False?
At the 5th Dan level students are taught a hyung (a sequence of movements) called Ji-On.
This hyung takes its name from, and is inspired by the 'Mountain Goat'.

Don't forget to find us (and like us!) on FaceBook to stay
up to date with announcements, photos and to connect
with other Moo Duk Kwan schools across Australia.
Although our martial art Soo Bahk Do, has origins dating back many hundreds of years, the organisation we belong to, Moo Duk Kwan, is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.
As one of the oldest traditional Korean martial arts still being taught, there was no way we could let this important milestone pass by. From 30th October to 1st November 2015, all Moo Duk Kwan members from across the world are invited to take part in a special three day training event in Korea. The training will include seminars hosted by Kwan Jang Nim (Grandmaster) and international Sa Boms (Masters), demonstrations from each country and a formal banquet. Be sure to check out the World Moo Duk Kwan web site for photos from the previous celebrations, and more details about the 70th.
