Term 3 ... and we're back.

Classes for Term 3 are back on Wednesday 20th July. Same times, same location ... new techniques and loads of new challenges. This term we focus on the Soo Bahk Do Sparring Combinations; a collection of 18 drills that will assist in developing your confidence, your skills and hopefully they will make your sparring training even more enjoyable.

We've spent the first half of the year building our foundations in basic techniques, and now it is time to start applying some of our new skills in a controlled combat situation. 

Oh, and kicks. There will be lots of kicking.

Sparring combinations
All classes and levels will focus on the Sparring Combinations throughout Term 3. To assist we've put together some training material, but it'll only help if you're also coming to class! Below is a quick run-down of the first six combinations.

1 – Il bon 
Slide back with a low block 
Lunge forward with a reverse punch 

2 – E bon 
Back fist strike 
Reverse punch 

3 – Sam bon 
Back fist strike 
Reverse punch 
Front kick 

4 –Sa bon 
Front kick 
Back fist strike 
Reverse punch 

5 – O bon 
Step behind side kick 
Back fist strike 
Reverse punch 

6 – Yuk bon 
Back fist strike 
Reverse punch 
Step forward round-house kick

Notices will be sent home with information about fees and the term dates to help avoid confusion. Fees remain the same. Please ensure payment is made by the end of August.
