For those of you who read Where Kids Come First on a regular basis, the Montreal Children’s Hospital’s upcoming move to the Glen site is a familiar topic. The Montreal Children’s Hospital is part of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), and after more than a decade of planning, development and preparation, the new MUHC at the Glen site is opening this spring.

On May 24, the Children’s moves to the Glen, and it will mark the beginning of a whole new era in pediatric care in Quebec. This issue of the newsletter features amazing photos and practical information about the new Children’s—in short, everything you need to get to know our new home!

Q: My child will be going to the new Montreal Children’s this summer for surgery and he’ll have to stay there for at least a few days. Will I be able to stay with him overnight?
A: Yes, absolutely. Our care teams at the Montreal Children’s Hospital have always encouraged parents to stay overnight with their child if they choose, and the inpatient units at the new hospital have many improved features to make a parent’s stay more restful and relaxing. [+]
