Ken Brooker established Harviestoun Brewery in 1985 in a 200 year old stone byre near Dollar, Clackmannanshire, Scotland. The Brewery uses natural spring water that comes from the local Ochill hills, making each beer extra special and unique.
Ola Dubh (or 'Black Oil') is a collaboration between Harviestoun Brewery and Highland Park Distillery, and is based on Harviestoun's Old Engine Oil. With a nod to the classic Imperial Porters (and Stouts) of the nineteenth century, the Harviestoun 10th Anniversary Ola Dubh is aged for two years in Highland Park's legendary 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Barrels.
This rich, wickedly superb beer makes the ideal compliment to a charcuterie platter containing such buttery cheeses as: Brie, Gouda, Havarti or Swiss. It's also a superb dessert beer, especially alongside a warm chocolate brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Jade Scorpion is a dangerously addictive, refreshing lager elevated with the addition of green peppercorns from the Sichuan province in China. The peppercorns add bright, citrusy and herbal notes with a gentle tingle that makes their Chinese take on a pilsner delightful!
The light body and bright, citrus acidity makes this beer a delightful pair to a dish such as yellow curry chicken w/ lemon jasmine rice!

A Gold Medalist!
In 1516, Bavarian Noblemen wrote into law that beer can only be brewed with water, barley, and hops, with yeast later being added. Although the penalties for breaking this law are long gone, many brewers still abide by this law. Michael Plank, is one of those brewers.
Established in 1617, the family-owned Plank brewery is currently operated by Michael Plank. He has been credited with honing the traditional recipes, which led the company to being named the "Best Small Brewery in the World" at the 2006 World Beer Cup!
Dunkler Weizenbocks are the best of a bock, a wheat beer and a dunkel. This hybrid doppelbock has notes of banana and coffee, with the characteristic German malt character on the finish. There is a plush, somewhat creamy mouthfeel combined with a moderate sweetness and gentle bitterness.
The slight ever present sweetness makes this award-winning beer the perfect companion to chili or any hearty stew. If it's sweet tooth satisfaction that you're after, give this a whirl with banana pudding!
