CCHS Newsletter 31 - 13th September 2021
Weekly Message from Mr Harding, Executive Head Teacher
Well, that's the first week and a bit over and done with and I have to say, I've been so impressed with the way that all of our pupils, new and old, have returned to school.  I'm very grateful to our support staff team who have completed thousands of lateral flow tests this week and coped with the huge logistical issues of getting different groups of students in at different times.

Year 9 have settled in incredibly well and benefited from having a bit of time with the school to themselves.  They have made a very positive impression on the staff and I look forward to getting to know more of them in the coming weeks and months.  We will be running a Year 9 Settling In evening towards the end of this half term and parents will be given an opportunity to have guided tours around the school and meet staff as I'm conscious that, due to the pandemic, we had to do things very differently last year.

Catering
There are several exciting changes this year that will make it easier for you as a parent/carer to arrange a nutritious lunch for your child, and for your child to enjoy their lunchtime without the queues associated with lunch times previously. We wanted each student to have a relaxed enjoyable lunchtime with their friends, so have changed the eating options significantly.

Browse the menus here and please note all payments for food have to be made via ParentPay, money should be in your child’s account 24 hours before purchase to allow it to reach the till system in time.

School meals must only be paid for through the ParentPay system, no cash payment will be accepted.

Your ParentPay login details can be found in the ‘Documents’ section of your Edulink account.

If you have not received a letter via text informing you of your ParentPay account details or have any further questions, please email Mrs Carmell at jcm@ch-pb.com

Have your circumstances changed recently?
Parents claiming some benefits can claim free school meals for any of their children who are registered at a Staffordshire school and who would normally be at school at lunch time. School meals are a good way to ensure that your child eats well at lunchtime and you can save yourself time and money.

Even if you don't want your children to have the meals, claiming them helps their school. The more eligible parents who claim meals, the more funding the school receives.
