My BNI Friends,
As the sun sets on 2022, I’m so grateful for what this BNI community has accomplished this year.
Once again, you have generated over 300,000 referrals, helped one another to do great business, and you’ve helped each other grow and prosper!
Over the holidays know that this year, our BNI community will produce yet another $0.5 billion dollars TYFCB (thank you for closed business) right around Australia, and over $30 Billion worldwide!
So, Friends, in these final weeks of 2022, let’s acknowledge each other in Chapters right across the country. There’s someone in your BNI Community that has impacted you in some way - please don’t let the end of the year go by without acknowledging them for what they’ve done for you.
Members around Australia tell us their involvement with BNI pushes them out of their comfort zone and helps them grow and prosper. Everyone has a different story. It’s either the challenge of speaking in front of a room that’s now been conquered, or through the referral process the way they do their business has dramatically improved and strengthened. Bottom line is this: those people in that Chapter have your back. They’re committed to you and your success. You are not alone. Givers Gain® is the glue.
It’s amazing to see people really appreciating the power of a solid network and a room full of people in business helping each other!

During October, BNI Members across Australia generated over $39 million in business for one another, by making over 24,065 referrals and taking the time for 31,592 one-to-ones. Along with this, members invited 2,367 visitors to their weekly Chapter meetings.

Well done to all Chapters on such fantastic results. Also, a huge congratulations to all the Chapters who made the Top 10 last month as well as all the Members in the Top 20. Let's keep up the momentum and finish the year strong!

The BNI Foundation Australia is here to support BNI members who would like to enrich the education of the students in their community.
What’s happening?
The Mooroopna Park Primary School in Shepparton, Victoria is our latest referral. MPPS is one of the most disadvantaged schools in Australia. Its leadership team is amazing and funding so many projects through fundraising to give their students the best education. They have won awards for their Student Wellness programs. We are looking forward to providing a Givers Gain Gift in December.
BNI Evergreen (Perth) member, Peter Trenamen of Group Support, has kindly donated 10 refurbished computers and laptops. BNI Evergreen Chapter donated $820 and Neal Grey from BNI Beyond donated $100 so Peter could put in new hard drives and electrical cords. The BNI Foundation Australia often receives requests from charities working with children and young adults for computers so their clients can keep up with their school work.
Thank you for your collaboration on this initiative!
The Business Voices Leadership Week events in October were a big success. Small efforts on our part can create large differences in students’ futures. Thank you to all of the BNI member volunteers that attended/organised these events.
1.  Career Conversations at a Perth high school
2.  Mock interviews at a high school in Melbourne
3. Career Yarns with female students at the Cowboy House in Townsville.
We have expanded our Board of Directors. We are happy to announce our new Board members:  Andrea Anderson, BNI Ignite, Brisbane; Phil Brown, BNI High Noon, Perth; and Jaco Vorster, BNI CBD, Melbourne.  Congratulations for stepping up for the Foundation!

One of BNI Foundation Australia’s four primary objectives is to promote and support the work of existing NFP, Charity and Social Enterprise members. In the spirit of the BNI Givers Gain® Core Value, the Board of the Foundation randomly selects three registered Charity members to be the recipients of the year’s Month of Giving Appeal.

Congratulations to the selected Charities for 2022:
  • Next Sense - BNI Business by the Beach, Melbourne Central VIC
  • Special Olympics Mackay – BNI Excelsior, North Queensland QLD
  • Lisa Harnum Foundation – BNI Elite Business, Sydney Northwest & Penrith NSW
Members can make a direct donation or you may choose to do fundraising activities within their chapters. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Members have the option to choose which charity to support, or to Spread the Support across all three of this year’s Charities.
For every $25 donated, a member’s Chapter receives one entry into the draw for $1000 to go towards the Chapter’s end of year celebration. The more donations made, the higher the number of entries!

Entries will close at midnight on Sunday 18th December and the prize will be drawn Monday 19th December 2022.
