LSMD/Dubendorf (G550 - Private) Overflow operations for LSZH during World Economic Forum. Excellent handling on arrival and departure; efficient CIQ; well organized de-icing on departure. Ops note: 4.5 degree GS - ILS 29. Considered steep approach for Euro but not FAA registered. SAFA check conducted on departure: Be familiar with specially-produced document from LSMD, which discusses, among other things, takeoff minimums at variance with Jepp charted minimums. Useful extra information as well. SAFA inspectors were cordial and professional.
WSJC/Singapore FIR (GLEX - Private) WSSS: very cheap fuel, but parking will be limited to max.of 48 HRS. WSSL: very useful alternative, many MX providers on the field, fuel is almost as cheap, no parking limitations. Just watch out if you plan to fly in for the first time at night, its airspace is surrounded tightly by Military on both sides. It has no IAP for the time being, so basic 5km Vis is required to approach.
UNNT/Novosibirsk (G550 - Private). Excellent tech stop. Very good English, fast service. QNH upon request. Advise passengers that if landing to the north, the taxi in will be a long distance. Taxiways and runway are very rough. 03FEB16.
ESNQ/Kiruna, Sweden (A320 - Private). Be aware to check ISA deviation and SAT as we encountered very low temp even down to FL280 (close to -74°C) and couldn't start APU before landing. Weather minima must be checked carefully before circling to intercept ILS21. Swedavia ATC and Handling very efficient and reactive. Take care of you too when on ground in winter time (-30°C or less). 03FEB16.
