A Healthy School in our Healthy New Town
There has been much press coverage about Barton Park being an NHS Healthy New Town. We want to do what we can to support this, at school. It has been great to see so many of you walking, scooting or cycling in to school. Mrs McCraw had a go at cycling up Barton hill last week and has pledged to do that at least twice a week... even in the Winter! It was great to have a chat to parents about other ways in which we can promote healthy lifestyles and what support we can ask the council for. If you have any ideas, please share them with us, so we can work together to make a difference.
Healthy Lunches and Drinks Bottles
Look out for an email asking you to make lunch choices for the next three weeks.
This should arrive in your inbox on Monday.
Can we remind you that water bottles should only contain water, not squash or juice, as NHS guidelines advise that the sugar in these drinks can seriously affect teeth.
