After-School Club
We know that many of you would find this helpful and filled in a form over the Summer with your requirements. We're hoping to be able to run something on-site 1-3 days a week sometime from October. If you need after-school care on a specific day, please let the school office know ASAP as we'd like to support your needs as far as possible.

Another busy week at Barton Park!
In Saplings, our new topic is The Last Wolf by Mini Grey. We had a fabulous time acting this story out in our local park this week! This alternative folk tale is set in the last park, which is now surrounded by human houses. It has acted as a super springboard for our science learning about seasons, habitats and different types of seed.
School Lunches
We're pleased to be able to offer hot lunches to all children from next week. All of the children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal. Thank you to everyone for letting us know what your child's menu choices for the next few weeks. If you would like to make any changes please let the school office know. You can view the full menu on our website.

NO NUTS PLEASE!
We have a member of staff with a severe nut allergy.
lease do not pack any food which contains nuts in packed lunches.

Creative Pallet Creations!
We asking for your help in creating some more resources for our Early Years outdoor area from all the pallets that have been kindly donated to us.
Please join us on Sunday 4 October from 11am with your tools and paintbrushes!
We'll make sure there's plenty of tea and biscuits for helpers.
E-mail us if you're able to help.
Extra Funding for the School: Pupil Premium Money

Thank you to all parents who filled in the Pupil Premium Eligibility Form. The Pupil Premium is worth an extra £1,320 each year to the school, for every eligible child. This money can be spent to support the child in any way that the school feels will benefit them, from extra support with their learning through to subsidising music lessons or school trips. Once your child reaches year 3, we can also provide free school meals each day. Many families are not sure if they are eligible and financial circumstances many change. For this reason, we may contact you to ask for your National Insurance number. This allows us to run an annual check to ensure that the school is claiming all of the money we are entitled to, in order to support our children and families. You do not have to share this data with us, but we hope that you understand why we are asking and feel willing to do so.

Junk Modelling
There will be a box outside the Acorns classroom for your junk donations. Please donate any cereal or egg boxes, milk cartons, plastic bottle tops, cardboard tubes etc.
We would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Redrow, who have sponsored a friendship cabin for our Early Years playground. It will take 6-8 weeks to arrive, but we can't wait to have a lovely wooden house to play in!
We'll send out a newsletter every week.
We will also post regular updates on our Social Media Channels.
